How to apply
The next call for applications opens on October 15, 2010 at 00:01 and closes on November 28, 2010 at 23:59. This call is open to all scholars who would like to start their mobility in autumn 2011. There are no scholarships available for spring 2011.
Application procedure
Step 1: Please carefully read the "Who can apply?" section to find out if you are eligible for the programme.
Step 2: Find out which target group you belong to by studying the information provided here.
Step 3: Get informed on which types of mobility are available.
Step 4: Have a look at the list of study fields to find out whether the programme you are interested in is offered at one of the partner universities.
Step 5: Select the host university/host universities you are interested in and read their general information sheets!
Step 6: Have a look at the "Scholarships/Duration" section of the homepage to find out about the possible duration of mobility.
Step 7: Find out if you want to apply for an exchange or a degree mobility here!
Step 8: Please read the FAQs to get answers to some of the most important questions.
Step 9: Collect all documents that need to be uploaded in the online application. A list of the documents can be found here.
Exchange students/staff please note: Check the recognition requirements of your home university and acquire your learning agreement (for Undergraduate and Master exchange students - please make sure to upload a learning agreement for both host universities of your choice) or Study/Research Plan (for Doctorates) or Research/Teaching/Training Plan (for Post-doctorates and Staff) by contacting the host university in order to receive detailed information on available courses or fields of research. For further information please contact the relevant person in charge at your home and host university.
Master degree and Doctorate degree seeking students please note: Check the admission requirements of your host university and upload any additional documents if required by the host university.
All documents attached in electronic form will also have to be handed in as original signed documents at the host institution once you got selected.
Please note: In case you don’t have all required documents now (e.g. you don’t have obtained your degree yet, but you will have obtained it once the mobility starts), please get in touch with your respective host university. In case the official JoinEU-SEE contact person at the host university exceptionally agrees, that some documents can be sent after this call's deadline, this email conversation should be copied & pasted and uploaded as an explanation. In case your application is sucessful, you will be conditionally accepted and you will be given a certain deadline in order to submit the missing document. Please note though that applicants who have completed their applications by uploading all required documents will be favored.
Step 10: Apply online!
Online Application
The online application consists of two steps. Step 1 needs to be completed by clicking the „Finish Data Entry“ button before it is possible to proceed to step 2 where documents have to be uploaded and the host university chosen. Note that no more changes are possible within step 1 once it has been finished by clicking the button "Finish Data Entry (step 1)".
Step 1 consists of:
- Main data (a picture needs to be uploaded as well)
- Profile
- Language skills
- Motivation statement
Step 2 consists of:
- Documents to be uploaded
- Priority for host universities
Once you click on “Finish application” after the completion of both steps, you will not have access anymore to your application and no more changes will be possible.
So please make sure to carefully review your application before hitting the submit button "Finish application".
Step 11: Get informed about the selection criteria!
Step 12: Selected scholars need to apply for a visa. Please contact the official JoinEU-SEE contact person at your home and host university for further information.
Step 13: Selected students need to sign an Acceptance Letter and follow all necessary prodecures in order to be registered at / admitted to the host university. The actual duration of mobility entirely depends on the duration of your study/research activities according to the academic calendar of your host university.
Step 14: The host university will be responsible for supporting you in further processing of the mobility (admission, visa, accrediting degrees, accommodation, tuition etc.).
Step 15: A list of nominated students will be sent to the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) and will include a list of further potential students.
